This past weekend I did some work at the farm.  I filled my 2 feeders and started working on my fall food plots. I mowed down some of taller weeds and grasses I had growing in my plots.  I sprayed Roundup and put down some extra lime.  I need to line up the guy to come disk for me.  I was kinda hoping for a little more rain before I do this so I get some good tillage. I plan on putting down some 13-13-13 fertilizer right before he plows it up.  I hope to plant around the 2nd week of Septemeber. This year I will be planting Tecomate's Max Attratant.  I had good luck with Tecomate in the spring. Rain will be the determing factor of when I plant.  I think we need something tropical off the coast to get some significant rainfall.

Anyone doing any kind of fall food plots?

I plan on putting a plot in soon but not sure what I am gonna plant.  I may plant rye and winter peas and see how that works.  I need to get it plowed soon.  Where are you getting the Tecomate from? I also need to move in a blind and fill a feeder I have there already.
