I was planning on going this past weekend, but my plans changed. Maybe in a couple of weeks. I hear it can be good if you put in the work scouting and getting a little further in of the beaten path. I have been wondering if anyone has had much luck with the Spring Turkeys there? Other than that I have heard of guys seeing plenty of deer but not being in a position to get a good shot.

Cool! Let me know how it turns out and what are you hunt. I haven't been out there yet, but have been studying some NGS maps and Google Earth to possibly pin-point a few spots before I get there. I should have been doing that a lot sooner though.

alright well today did not go quite as planned. my roommate showed up as i was about to leave and we got started talking so naturally i ended up leaving 30 min after i had planned. i hit the road and what do you know it starts raining. well i eventually get to a spot that ive been wanting to scout out and the rain just keeps comin. i gave it about 45 minutes and got a little tired of being hammered by rain so i call it quits. on my drive home i decide to pull off on a side road to check it out and come across a nice little spike that i would love to see again (except not on private land and with me a little more prepared) so all in all a somewhat productive day not the best but i had fun just bein out there

I Hunt Davy Crockett... I talked with a ranger last week.. he said far fewer deer are being taken due to the 13 inch rule, I have seen a couple 4 points and a very small 6 point this season... I did see a nice 8  that was taken last thursday afternoon in Camp.
